Grace – Again

As some of you know, I was convicted to write a book on grace. It
has been hard, because every time I set down I am immediately plagued
with writer’s block.  I don’t know what to write about grace or where
to even begin.  All I know is that grace is God’s favor and He has
shown a lot of it in my life and through the most difficult
circumstances I have faced.

If you were going to write a book on grace, what would you write about?

  1. Okay…I’m going to go out on a limb here and say — that’s the wrong question, Kevin. It does not matter what any of us would write about on grace — what matters is what you would do.
Perhaps, you’re trying to do too much each time. Why not try a pre-writing approach like brainstorming, clustering, freewriting, journaling, or asking the 5 basic questions when trying to overcome your grace writing block? Then, work up those ideas into a formal outline — and after all of that, sit down to write with a guide of where you are going and what you want to do.
    Anyway, that’s my two cents…

  2. My experiences. How grace has shown up in my life, how I learned about it, the times when I was able to give someone grace, Why grace is hard for me to accept/understand. How my favorite Bible people’s experiences with grace helped round my understanding, etc. If you need more, let me know.Just remember that when you’re writing a book you have to let it flow out of stories and such. Don’t worry about it being perfect, that’s what rewrites are for. A friend/mentor of mine recommened Bird by Bird by Ann Lamott when I started writing my book. It’s been a great help and an awesome read.
